The 18 steps is an elemental part of our comprehensive Tai Ji Quan system which introduces moving meditation through precise step work. The step work initially focuses on basic techniques such as balance, weight shifting and coordination of the body harmonies, which become more dynamic and intricate with each step progression. Practitioners may then begin to go deeper into the various layers of movement qualities and energetic expressions. The latter half of the 18 steps also integrates explosive movements within the steps.
